- Meet Cindy Holmes, Author & Founder
I’m Cindy, founder of Bookish by Purple Fox and a mum, grandmother, and long-time community worker with over 20 years of experience in education, health, and family support. I’ve seen firsthand how much our young people — and the adults who care for them — need safe, creative spaces to grow and feel seen. Bookish by Purple Fox was born from that passion, and from the inspiration of my 10-year-old granddaughter Willow, who actively helps shape our tween and teen guides. Our work is about real voices, real life, and helping kids (and their grown-ups) feel confident, supported, and connected.

Willow is the creative spark behind many of our tween and teen guides and products. As a 10-year-old with big ideas and an even bigger heart, she helps shape everything from design choices to the real-life topics we cover. Her voice ensures that what we create is not just for tweens — but truly by them.
