Stories that entertain, Resources that empower, Conversations that matter

Because growing up comes with questions — and sometimes girls need a safe place to talk about the answers.
Girl Talk is a relaxed, supportive workshop created for girls aged 8–12, designed to make conversations about puberty, periods, emotions, confidence and growing up feel a whole lot less awkward.
There are no embarrassing lectures and no expectation that girls already know what to ask. Instead, we create a comfortable space where they can learn, talk, laugh, ask questions and discover that many of the things they may be wondering about are completely normal.
Created from real conversations with tweens — including my granddaughter and co-author, Willow — Girl Talk combines practical information with the perspective of the girls actually experiencing these changes.
It isn't about telling girls how they should grow up. It's about helping them feel informed, prepared and confident as they do.
What Happens at Girl Talk?
No desks. No lectures. No awkward health-class feeling.
Girl Talk is designed to feel comfortable from the moment girls arrive. We sit together in a relaxed space, talk, laugh, ask questions and work through activities at a pace that gives everyone time to think, participate and simply listen when they want to.
Growing & Changing
What's happening to our bodies, why everyone develops differently, and why there really isn't one version of “normal.”
The Changes We Can't See
Emotions, moods, friendships, self-esteem and what's happening inside the brain as girls grow — because puberty involves much more than the changes we can see.
Periods — The Real Deal
What periods actually are, what to expect, different period products, practical preparation and the questions girls sometimes feel too embarrassed to ask.
Confidence & Being You
Body confidence, self-esteem, finding your voice, boundaries and learning to trust yourself as you grow.
Girls can join the conversation, ask questions, share what they think — or simply listen. There is never any pressure to talk about anything personal.
Girl Talk isn't about remembering a list of facts.
It's about leaving with a better understanding of what's happening — and feeling a little more ready for whatever comes next.
Understanding
A clearer idea of what puberty can look and feel like — and reassurance that everyone develops differently.
Practical Confidence
Knowing what to expect from periods, what products are available and how to feel more prepared.
A Stronger Voice
Feeling more comfortable asking questions, expressing boundaries and talking to trusted adults when something doesn't feel right.
Reassurance
Realising that many of the questions, worries and feelings they have are shared by other girls too.
Growing up doesn't have to mean figuring it all out alone.
